This chic tote bag has a precious handwoven checked panel around the top of the bag.  This plaid fabric is traditionally worn as a headpiece by Zhuang ladies.  The bag has two 60cm (23.5in) handles and is finished with a button made of coconut.
 
Dimensions: 34cm x 36cm (13.5in x 14in) with a 6cm (2.5in) base. 
 
All fabrics are blends of linen and cotton. Gentle machine wash separately in cold or lukewarm water. Do not soak or bleach. Do not tumble dry. Warm iron only.

This item is individually handmade by a Zhuang mother, Nina, who takes care of her daughter with special needs.  The checked fabric is handwoven by a young grandmother at home looking after her four grandkids.
