These beautiful quilted cotton/linen placemats feature three different classic Zhuang patterns: the Zhuang brocade, star anise, and floral.  Perfect as a housewarming gift or treat for your dining room or kitchen, especially during the Christmas season to go with the rest of your festive home decor.
 
These placemats are created with a vintage red wine coloured fabric, against which the brocade pattern and star anise ribbon are perfectly matched and stunningly highlighted.  They are lined with a thin layer of cotton batting to prolong durability and shape.​
 
Each placemat is individually and carefully handmade by a Zhuang widow, Daisy, who makes a living with her sewing machine in a corner of her tiny home.  Your purchase will support her and her two daughters.
