These cute shoulder purses showcase the intricate handwoven fabric that comes from a long tradition of loom-weaving by Zhuang women.  The inside is lined and has two pockets and the outside handwoven flap is finished with a hand-knotted button commonly used on traditional clothing.

Each shoulder purse is individually handmade by a Zhuang mother, Nina, who takes care of her teenage daughter with special needs at home.  They live in a small town where there is very little awareness of or support for people with special needs.
